Education in UK can be expensive, British education is an investment that will benefit the student's future. For many parents it is a great sacrifice, but one that is worthwhile and rewarding.

It may cost

Course fee for degree courses between £6000 (approx Rs.4.5 lakhs) and £7000 (approx Rs5.25 lakhs) per year and master's degree between £6,500(approx Rs 4.9 lakhs) and £8,000 (approx Rs 6 lakhs)

Living expenses

The cost of living in the UK is not the same throughout the country. Generally, it is more expensive to live in London and the South-East of England, and cheaper in the North, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. The living expenses per year would be between £5000(approx Rs.3.75 lakhs) to £7000 (approx Rs.5.25 lakhs)

Note: The degree course last for 3 years and master degree courses for 1 year. Also students in UK can undertake part-time work to enjoy the benefits of some extra earnings or contribute towards their living cost.

Safety of students

Usually in the fresher's week institutions run safety programs and advice on how to increase the personal safety.

Health Care

If the student is doing a full-time course that lasts more than six months, he/she can register with the National Health Service (NHS). This will allow them access to free doctors' examinations and hospital treatment.

Regardless of residential status or nationality, emergency treatment is provided Free of Cost.
