National Health Service (NHS) provides free
and subsidised treatment for people who
live in the UK. As an international student,
you may be entitled to NHS treatment if
you are:

Enrolled on a course lasting for six
months or more |

Enrolled
on a full-time course in Scotland, no
matter how long it lasts |
Regardless
of residential status or nationality, emergency
treatment received at General Practitioner
(GP) surgeries or in Accident and Emergency
departments is free of charge. This exemption
from charges ceases to apply when a patient
is formally admitted as an in-patient or
registered at an outpatient clinic.
