IELTS Coaching - Common mistakes by students while taking IELTS test
The following are the common mistakes made at the time of taking IELTS exam: 1) Firstly, Time Management in Reading Test. Don’t give a deep reading but try to understand through skimming and scanning for specific information. 2) Instructions should be read carefully and the answers should be prepared accordingly. 3) Keep an eye on the word limit for both the tasks in Writing Module. 4) Maintain a standard pronunciation although accent is not taken into account for speaking and give correct stress and intonation to carry the meaning better. 5) Answer relevantly to the given topic for writing. 6) Avoid long essays and maintain a good quality of the argument, evidence and language. 7) Do not memorize your essays. Try to produce your ideas originally. 8) You are not valued on your opinions (whether positive or negative) but express yourself spontaneously and maintain accuracy. 9) Limit your connecting words in your essay or else it will lead to confusion in your essay and you will lose the original essence of your writing. 10) Last but not the least a student must be familiar with the test modules viz structure and procedure of the test.
